He is also a part-time professor at Renmin University, Wuhan University, and a receiver of special government allowance from the State Council. He is mainly engaged in fields of international finance and international trade. In 2012, he was appointed as the Secretary-General of Academic Committee of the National Development and Reform Commission. He has presided over and participated in key research projects of the national social sciences.
