In 2010 he served as an advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Secretary of the Diplomatic Institute Ministerial Committee, Iraq. From 2004 till 2010 he served as an ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary at the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Australia, and as a dean of Arab Ambassadors, Australia.
